Additional Description
Clarinda, Iowa, is where big things happen.  It's the birthplace of big band leader Glenn Miller and the international 4-H movement.  Clarinda's strong work ethic is evidenced by our diversified economic base.  Clarinda has a skilled, available labor force and an excellent infrastructure system.  Our school system is consistently rated among the top in the nation with state champion quality fine arts and athletic programs.  Clarinda has an excellent quality of life featuring the Lied Community Center, a full-service recreational center with an indoor pool open for swimming, water exercise and lessons year-round.  The Center also has a walking/jogging track, basketball courts, volleyball courts, a racquetball court, weight and exercise room, kitchen facilities, three meeting rooms and coordinated activities fro all ages.
